Our goal is to welcome you in Fall 2026. While we can't announce an exact opening date just yet, we want to take the time to do things properly.

After sitting vacant for nearly a decade, the building requires significant restoration and investment. Much of the original commercial kitchen equipment is no longer in place, and we're carefully sourcing equipment, completing renovations, and ensuring every part of the restaurant is built to serve the community for years to come.

We know many Grand Manan residents and long-time visitors have memories of this building, and we appreciate your patience as we bring it back to life. Our focus isn't simply on opening our doors as quickly as possible. It's on creating a place that the community can be proud of and enjoy for many years to come.

We'll continue to share updates along the way, and we look forward to welcoming you to The Chart Room as soon as we're ready.

Our menu will celebrate the best of the Maritimes, with an emphasis on seasonal ingredients and locally sourced products whenever possible. Fresh seafood will always play an important role, alongside thoughtfully prepared dishes featuring beef, pork, lamb, game, and other regional ingredients. You'll find comforting classics, fresh flavours, and a few elevated touches that reflect Evan's culinary background, without ever feeling pretentious.

Whether you're joining us after a day on the water, finishing a shift at work, catching up with friends, or stopping in before or after the ferry, our goal is to serve the kind of food you'll look forward to coming back for.

Chef Evan has a career spanning over two decades, in both fine and casual dining. While his career has taken him through some of the industry's finest kitchens, Evan's greatest passion is making exceptional food approachable. Evan's philosophy is simple: exceptional ingredients deserve thoughtful preparation, and everyone deserves the opportunity to enjoy them.
